What is BoringNotch?

BoringNotch is a beautiful open-source macOS menu bar app that transforms your screen notch (or menu bar) into something useful, fun, and interactive. Designed for productivity lovers, BoringNotch adds smart widgets to your menu bar, making your Mac feel more alive and personalised.

What in my Custom Additions in (BoringNotch+)

This is a custom (Apple-notarized .dmg) build I created from the BoringNotch+ fork to better fit my own productivity workflow.

Here are the additions I made:

• Apple Reminders & Tasks to manage and check the daily tasks.
• Full Pomodoro Timer with visual and audio alerts.
• New Clipboard V2 with pin/unpin, search, and better UI.
• Camera mirror toggle feature to give more space.
• Performance fixes, shadow improvements, and smoother notch behavior.
• Customizable settings, fine-tuned for real-world productivity.

Now Playing

• Automatically shows your currently playing track from Apple Music or Spotify.
• Displays album art, track name, and artist — directly in your notch.
• Live updates as your songs change.
  

Battery Info

• See your current battery percentage, charging state, and estimated time.
• A sleek and subtle battery icon that lives inside the notch.

Calendar & Date

• Displays today’s date and your next upcoming calendar event.
• Smart event previews that sync with your macOS calendar.
  

Pomodoro Timer (NEW in my fork fully coded by me :D)

• A full Pomodoro productivity timer built into the notch.
• Work cycles, short breaks, and long breaks with smart phase display.
• Sneak peek every few minutes to keep you focused — without distraction.

Clipboard History (Clipboard 2.0 — Done by me!)

• Tracks your last 48 copied items, grouped by app and from all your apple devices.
• Re-copy with one click, search through history, and pin important items.
• Smooth animations, pin/unpin support, and live updates.

Sneak Peek System

• Automatically shows widgets every few minutes (or on demand).
• Custom timing and durations to match your workflow.
• Works beautifully with music, clipboard, and Pomodoro modules.
  

Everything is open-source and respectful to the original project.

This DMG is precompiled for users who don’t want to build the app from source.
